Many people unfortunately go through life paying full price for stuff they do not have to. In the long run it can add up to a ton of money. There are certain methods that people use to find the best deals whether it is a flight to Mexico or finding cheap candy. The possibilities are endless.
Sunday Newspaper
I know this seems like something your grandma would do but there are amazing coupons in the Sunday paper. If you are in the market for a new car then you will find all the current deals in the paper. Also, if you are looking for cheap candy or good quality meat the paper will have tons of that.
Ebay
Ebay has a great filter which allows you to see what stuff sold for. People tend to price stuff high so if you look at past auctions you can see what the product you want sold for. This allows you to not jump the gun if you find what you are looking for elsewhere, but it is a bit expensive.
Flying
If you end up flying a lot, whether it is for business or pleasure then you should be shopping around for the best deal. Typically, if you are going to be flying out on a Sunday it could cost three times as much compared to flying out on a Tuesday. There are now plenty of bargain airlines that offer flights for less than thirty dollars depending on where you are going. Just be aware that it may cost more to check your bag in than for the actual ticket. Also it is much better to fly direct so you do not have to worry about missing your next flight or end up on an extremely long layover.
